We hope you enjoy your visit to our website.
St. George’s is the oldest church in Banff and the oldest public building still in continuous use. We are also one of a few churches in Western Canada with a carillon. We have 11 bells installed in 1925 as a memorial to Banff and Bankhead soldiers who died in the First World War.
We are a small family-sized parish with less than fifty members, but we rejoice in welcoming visitors from all over the world practically every Sunday.
St. George’s also provides a ministry to seasonal workers and transient people, and we enjoy working with the many couples who marry, or chose to renew their vows in our beautiful church.
Visit us virtually on our website, then plan to visit Banff and enjoy the splendors of Canada’s first national park.
In your time here be sure to drop by. We try to keep our building open as much as possible, but phone or email ahead to be sure.
Please keep us in your prayers and if you’d like to donate to help maintain our building and ministries go to our “donate now” section.
If you have specific prayer requests we would be happy to include you in our parish prayers, on Sunday or a weekday morning. Just email us, send us a note, or call us.
Blessings and Peace,
GEORGE BELCHER, Rector |
