Archdeacon David Ellis is Honorary Assistant at St. George's-in-the-Pines.
Jeandot Ellis
David and his wife, Jeandot and family were at St. George's for seven years in the late 1970's to 80's, after serving in northern Canada (Arctic and Athabasca and in northern Ontario). He also served in Okotoks in the Diocese of Calgary.
By the mid 80's, David and Jeandot left the Calgary area so David could become Rector of St. Michael's and All Angels in Prince George, B.C. and become the Archdeacon for the Diocese of the Cariboo.
After David retired, the Bishop of Calgary asked him to return to St. George's-in-the-Pines in 1997 for an interim appointment which lasted for three years.
After really retiring near the end of 2000, David and Jeandot bought a condo in Banff, and they have remained in love with both the church and community. They enjoy the mountains, hiking and cross-country skiing.
